How long does the commission last?
You earn 25% recurring commission for 12 consecutive months from the customer's first paid subscription. After 12 months, commissions stop (but you keep the $250 activation bonus).
When do I get the $250 activation bonus?
The bonus is paid after the referred customer stays active for 30 days post-signup. This protects against refunds and chargebacks. You'll receive it in your first commission payout after the 30-day window.
Can I refer my own brokerage?
No, self-referrals are prohibited. You cannot earn commission on your own CovioIQ account. However, existing CovioIQ customers can become affiliates and refer other brokerages.
What if a customer upgrades or downgrades?
Your commission adjusts automatically. If they upgrade from Solo Pro ($79) to Team ($149), you start earning 25% of $149 from the upgrade date. If they downgrade, commission adjusts down. The 12-month term is based on their original signup date, not the change date.
How do payouts work?
Commissions are paid monthly, NET-30 after the month they're earned. Minimum payout is $100 CAD. If your balance is below $100, it rolls to the next month. Supported payout methods: PayPal (instant), Wise (international), or bank transfer (Canadian banks, $25 wire fee).
Can I run paid ads?
Yes, but you cannot bid on "CovioIQ" exact match in Google Ads. You can bid on competitor keywords (e.g., "Applied Epic alternative Canada") and generic terms (e.g., "insurance CRM Canada"). See full brand bidding guidelines in the Affiliate Agreement.
What happens if a customer cancels?
If they cancel within 30 days of first payment, we clawback all commissions and the activation bonus from your next payout. If they cancel after 30 days, you keep what you've earned up to that point, but future monthly commissions stop.
Is there a limit to how many referrals I can make?
No limit! Refer as many brokerages as you can. Top performers who drive 10+ customers per month may qualify for our "Super Affiliate" tier with increased commission rates and co-marketing opportunities.
