Cross-sell software for insurance brokers
CovioIQ makes insurance cross-selling a routine check instead of a memory test. It reviews every active client, flags the lines they don't hold with you among auto, home, life, business and health, and estimates the annual premium each gap could represent using your own book.

Gaps You Would Otherwise Find by Hand
Checking every client file for missing lines takes time most brokers don't have. The Cross-sell screen does that check for you and opens with three numbers calculated from your own client and policy records.

How Insurance Cross-Selling Works in CovioIQ
1. Detect missing lines
Simple, transparent rules check each active client against five lines:
- •Auto
- •Home
- •Life
- •Business
- •Health
A client with auto but no home policy on file, for example, is flagged as missing home.
2. Estimate from your own book
Each missing line is valued at the median annual premium for that line among your agency's clients of the same kind, individual or business. Where you hold fewer than 3 such policies, CovioIQ uses a conservative default instead. No outside benchmark data is involved.
3. Work the ranked list
Clients are sorted by largest estimated upsell first. From each row you can email, call or open the client record. Email opens a pre-filled draft in your own email app that mentions the missing line; nothing is sent until you send it.

Why Brokers Can Trust the Numbers
Estimates based on your agency's premiums
The estimate for each missing line comes from the median premium your own clients pay for that line, not from generic industry averages.
Individuals and businesses kept separate
Individual clients are compared with individual clients and business clients with business clients, so one group doesn't skew the other's estimates.
Conservative when data is thin
If your agency holds fewer than 3 policies of a given kind, CovioIQ falls back to a conservative default rather than guessing high. Treat every figure as directional, not a quote.
You stay in control of outreach
There are no automated campaigns. Email opens a draft in your own email app, and Call and View take you straight to the client, so every conversation is one you chose to start.
Client data stays in Canada
Cross-sell runs on rules inside CovioIQ. Your client data stays in Canada and no outside AI model is used to produce the list.
Cross-Sell FAQs
How does CovioIQ identify cross-sell opportunities?
Cross-sell in CovioIQ is rule-based. It looks at every active client and flags complementary lines they do not hold with you among auto, home, life, business and health, for example a client who has auto but no home policy.
How is the estimated upsell calculated?
Each missing line is estimated at the median annual premium for that line among your own agency's clients of the same kind, individual or business. If your agency holds fewer than 3 such policies, a conservative default is used instead. Estimates are directional, not quotes.
Does CovioIQ use AI or send cross-sell emails automatically?
No. No outside AI model is used for cross-sell, and nothing is sent automatically. The Email action opens a pre-filled draft in your own email app that you can edit, send or discard.
Does CovioIQ recommend specific coverage to my clients?
No. CovioIQ is a CRM, not an advisor. It shows which lines a client does not hold with you; whether they need that coverage is for you to confirm with the client.
